2022 Fair Winds Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc is a wine of style and elegance rather than a ‘blockbuster’, intense red. One of the parents of Cabernet Sauvignon (Sauvignon Blanc is the other) it requires care and patience in the vineyard. Look for elegance and sophistication on both the nose and palate.

Grapes for this wine came from Block B4, which sits quietly between a Merlot block on the west and a Cabernet Sauvignon block on the east. The rows run north/south and require careful handling of the canopy to avoid too much shading on one side and the potential for sunburn on the other.
